In the studio… Steve is a warm and dependable presence behind the anchor desk. He anchors TMJ4 News at 4, TMJ4 News at 5 and TMJ4 News at 6 for Wisconsin’s legacy station WTMJ-TV.

Previously, he created and hosted Milwaukee Tonight, a 6:30 p.m. news magazine designed for viewers who want to watch a non-traditional newscast.

• Primary anchor of weekday evening newscasts.
• Anchor of 6:30 p.m. news magazine, “Milwaukee Tonight.”
• Contributed investigative and general assignment reports to the 10 p.m. newscast.
• Reported, wrote, and produced a 30-minute documentary on the USS Milwaukee, which won a 2016 Edward R. Murrow regional award.
• Reporting on an obscure Wisconsin law banning the sale of certain types of butter spurred state and federal lawsuits.
• Series on illegal daycare providers lead to state-level hearings and legislation to correct deficiencies.
• Relentless reporting on Milwaukee parking ticket errors prompted the city to create a new way for people to clear tickets issued by mistake.
• Created and launched two 6:30 p.m. news magazines, “The Now: Milwaukee” and “Milwaukee Tonight.” Each became a model for other stations in the Scripps family.
